Cut The Clutter’s mission is to bring order into the lives of people who don’t have time to do it themselves, don’t know how to do it themselves and/or are just completely overwhelmed by the mere thought of doing it themselves. The company was founded in 2008 by Natalie Schrier, a Long Island native and longtime resident of NYC. Natalie brings an array of both personal and professional experience to the table to help you accomplish your organizing goals.

Raised in a generally disorganized household, Natalie decided at an early age NOT to follow in her family’s footsteps. She found solace in her bedroom, the only room in the house where everything was not only in its place, but also efficiently and logically arranged. Her Cabbage Patch Kids laid in size order on her bed and her Barbie clothes were stored in Ziploc bags according to season. Occasionally Natalie took on projects outside of her bedroom, like the time she divided her father’s supermarket coupons into categories and filed them in an index card box with tabs (at the age of 10!). Her childhood and teen years were full of many more organizational experiences.

Natalie’s post-collegiate jobs also helped her to grow her organizing skills. As a Human Resources representative for 7 years, she efficiently instituted filing systems, both paper and electronic, given the high volume of paperwork and emails in her industry. Later, as an ad designer for 2 ½ years, Natalie selected the most important items to include in ads and arranged those components to fit into the very limited amount of space available. Add in years of cleaning out friends’ closets and pantries as a hobby, and you’ve got one well-rounded professional organizer!

Natalie is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) as well as the local NAPO NY chapter, and she strictly adheres to their code of ethics and confidentiality policy. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park and currently lives on the Upper East Side.
